My Meon puts out a whole half a watt. I need a linear amplifier.
I also happen to have a small stash of MRF234 transistors. Good for 25W to 30W at 90MHz, 13dB gain at 50MHz. This will need a driver that boosts the 0.5W from the Meon to at least 1.5W -- no reason to not use the same transistor since I have them available already.
I quite like the RF Amplifier from the 4th edition of the RSGB VHF/UHF manual.
