The Corvus 322 is a basic 4 function calculator with memory, made to be cheap. Well, cheap-ish, $80 was a lot of money in 1974. In contrast, the $400 HP-35 was already on the market, scientific and pricey.
The Corvus has a 9-digit display where the ninth digit is only used for the sign, so eight digits effectively. Tiny HP seven segment LEDs, as was the style at the time.
This one came with a rechargeable battery which I removed because they were starting to leak. The case is also designed to be fitted with contacts for standard AA cells.
Made to a price point. The display is held in by heating the plastic, quick and dirty.
The display is marked HP 5082-7450 which is a PCB with two HP 7-segment bubble displays, one with five digits and one with four.
The brain is a Mostek MS5022AN (date code 7436) and the display driver is an ITT 508N (date code 7431).
